This exceptional pair of lounge chairs was designed by Waldmann, Gölz & Schmidt and produced by Durlet in Belgium during the 1970s. A fine example of European modernist craftsmanship, these chairs blend structural elegance with natural materials and comfort.
Each chair is constructed from solid ash oak, showcasing the warm grain and durability of the wood. The frame supports a beautifully suspended seat made from hessian sling webbing, adding a tactile and organic quality to the design. The generously cushioned upholstery is finished in high-quality aniline leather, which has developed a rich, natural patina over time.
With their low-slung profile and thoughtfully balanced proportions, these chairs embody a sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic typical of 1970s Belgian design. Both sculptural and inviting, they make a striking statement in any modern interior.
