Pair of stunning Ercol Chairmakers Armchairs design number 472 from the Windsor Collection designed by icon of mid century furniture, Lucian Ercolani, 1958. Having had only one owner.
Handcrafted by artisans in beautifully marbled Beech and Elm wood. Designed by Lucina Ercolani as a part of the burgeoning Organic Modernist movement coming out of Scandinavia at the time pioneered by Hans J Wegner and Arne Jacobsen. This influence is visible in the deep comfortable seat providing support, the gentle sweeping arms & the head height back.
The construction of these chairs is absolutely amazing, a wonderful example of hand crafted furniture from the post war period, designed and made by an icon of the period.
