Rare standing lamp from Architectural Lighting according to a design by the well -known industrial designer Peter Nelson from the 1960s.
The design language and materiality of Nelson's designs reflect its background in the aviation industry. Aluminum as a "signature material" and "engineering" precision and processing.
His luminaire designs are characterized by puristic aesthetics that inherent functional and technical details. This floor lamp is designed in a combination of brushed aluminum and chrome -plated steel. The finely and thinly carried out rod is the lamp made of full material on which the spotlight attacks. A trademark of these lights is the characteristic "Cube Switch Box", a simple box made of milled aluminum with integrated pressure switches.
