An exceptional and sculpturally striking console table designed and produced by Artedi, Italy, circa 1970. This original piece exemplifies the sophisticated material experimentation of Italian modernism during the era.
The table is anchored by a single solid travertine plinth, whose natural veining and weight provide both visual and structural grounding. A thick, clear glass top floats above, dramatically supported by two minimalist linear brass struts, forming a refined tension between transparency and mass. The interplay of materials—stone, metal, and glass—is both architectural and poetic.
Signed and stamped “Made in Italy” on the interior, confirming its authenticity and provenance. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age.
A rare and iconic example of Artedi’s celebrated balance between elegance and bold modern form—ideal for collectors and design purists alike.
